Elizabeth Jennings (1926 – 2001) è una delle poetesse inglesi più interessanti del Novecento. Dopo le sue prime raccolte, Poems (Oxford, Fantasy Press, 1953) e A Way of Looking (London, André Deutsch, 1955), numerosi i suoi libri di poesia, fino agli ultimi Timely Issues (Manchester, Carcanet, 2001), New Collected Poems (Manchester, Carcanet, 2001) e la recente antologia Elizabeth Jennings: The Collected Poems (Manchester, Carcanet, 2012). Tra i suoi contributi di saggistica, Frost (Edinburgh, Oliver and Boyd, 1964), Christianity and Poetry (London, Burns & Oates, 1965), Seven Men of Vision: an appreciation (London, Visa Press, 1976).
